First Crocus of the year. This must be a teaser.
Found it after whimsically deciding to clean the flower bed around the sunroom. There are signs of tulips, daffodils, scilla, and maybe a couple alliums in the garden. I also see sprouts of the sedum, leaves of the geraniums and heuchera, and shoots of the linum. Since the flower bed was covered with snow all winter the prostrate junipers survived the foraging deer fairly well. It has to warm up a little more then I will plant the linum, poppy, and lupine seeds in the bed.
It sure would be great if this was the end of winter. I’m not getting too carried away, not yet. Sooo earlly, so very, very early.
